After the descend from Taishan we went to Jinan to have lunch and to catch our plane to Shanghai. Despite being a morning bird, getting up early in Tai'an and on the Taishan made me very tired. So I could not fully enjoy Shanghai. In the first evening we still had a sightseeing tour featuring the nightly skyline of Shanghai. The first highlight, also in a literal sense, was the Yantai Tower with 547m of height. The white cloud at the top must be caused by the air-conditioning.

The Television Tower at night is also quite a considerable spectacle. The height of around 250m is not really impressive, but it is definitely more colourful than the Yantai Tower.

The following is a look from the Huangpu River at the surrounding buildings in Pudong.
Also the impression at the other side of the Huangpu River should not be neglected. These are some pictures from the Bund.

The same applies also for The People's Square:

And also the shopping streets are quite crowded
During daylight, the view of Pudong is unfortunately not so impressive.
Unfortunately I could not stop the movement of the ships.
Having seen so many Buddhist monasteries, I only agree to see the Yu Garden, which is a kind of labyrinth built by
a high Chinese official during the Ming and Qing Dyansty.

Finally we used the Transrapid for getting to the Airport. Here you can see some pictures at the arrival in the city station.

The speed of 431 km/h is rather seldomly achieved by a train. The last picture I have taken during this trip. Unfortunately it got a bit blurred.
